PassThru is a desktop application. This policy explains what data PassThru does and does not collect.

Data We Do Not Collect

PassThru does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data. Specifically:

No account or login is required to use PassThru.
No usage analytics or telemetry are sent from the application.
No video, audio, or screen capture data ever leaves your device.
No crash reports are automatically transmitted.

Data Stored Locally

PassThru stores the following data locally on your device only:

Settings and profiles — saved in a settings.json file in your system's application data folder. This file contains your configured preferences (source settings, keybindings, profile names, etc.) and never leaves your device.
Recordings and clips — video files you record are saved to a folder of your choosing on your local storage. These files are never uploaded or accessed by PassThru outside of your device.

Third-Party Distribution Platforms

PassThru is distributed through third-party platforms including the Microsoft Store and Steam. When you purchase or download PassThru through these platforms, their own privacy policies apply to that transaction. PassThru has no access to any data collected by these platforms.

The passthru.tv website does not use cookies, tracking scripts, or analytics. No personal data is collected when you visit this site.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a revised date. As PassThru does not collect contact information, we are unable to notify users of changes directly.
